Pictures from Tyumen and Omsk

On the way I saw a few examples of dilapidated churches...

Through Tyumen I drove on a Sunday on the way to Omsk...
There are more attractive places than Tyumen...

... but the oil brings wealth...

...with a relatively high Porsche share....

... and a Raiffeisen Bank branch....

...and Metro...

...and then came the drive between Tyumen and Omsk....

Omsk in turn has a few attractive places, unfortunately time didn't permit to see them all as I had to go on to Irkutsk for my Mongolia visa...

There appears to be a program to rebuild the old part of town with the fortress, but as in many other cases it will be a question of money. But there is hope.... and some first steps...

....yes, and Dostojevsky lived here between 1850 and 1854....

The cathedral had to be fully reconstructed...

.... Omsk branch is quite attractive....

... and Ikea is here too....

...less enjoyable were the effects of the vast forest fires...

....for comparison reason, without smoke...
