Towns on both sides of the Mongolian-Chinese border

The Train to UB takes 16 hrs and had 27 carriages!

Zamiin Uud's Railway station and its sqaure...

I saw several old Steyr 680 trucks still going strong....

These 2 pictures are from the inside of the Mongolian customs office... the museum unfortunately was closed...

And this is the first impression of Erianhaote.... quite a difference...

Russian Fur traders....

Erianhaote railway station...

My hotel...

Gestern und heute...

All e-bikes

Everybody his Eiffel Tower...

From UB to the Chinese border

I drove through the grasslands and all of a sudden these views appear... apparently settlements for mineres...

This is what happens when the paved road ends... take your pick...

Here all 4 tracks converged into one sand hole...

But I found those people quickly and then it was easy....

Freight train with 55 trucks....

On the 'road' again...

That's where I spent the night and was glad to have my own...

There has to be a clear order...

2 gas stations in the middle of nowhere with no traffic....

And those are also still going strong....

Railway station in one of the larger villages...

This must have been the Main Square....

And the park nearby...

Tricky bits everywhere....

Yes, the completion is somewhat delayed....

And this happens with badly secured loads...

He might be one of the next ones...

Like this one who got too close to the water...
